Delivering Hope Pajama Party 100 beds for 100 deserving children

Our first-ever Delivering Hope pajama party was a major success! The event took place last Saturday in Orlando, when we surprised 100 deserving children with the beds they need and deserve.

We partnered up with the Orlando City Soccer Club to pull off the surprise, and the kids were invited to join us at the Exploria Stadium. They all signed a 24-hour contract as “official Orlando City players” and the evening of fun was off to a memorable start.

Highlights of the night include a tour of the locker rooms, and special appearances by Orlando City player Greg Ranjitsingh and Orlando Pride player Abby Elinsky. The team mascot Kingston was also there, leading the dance party and posing for photos.

Of course, the best moment of all was treating the children to brand-new mattresses and bedding sets. Dressed in purple bedding in honor of Orlando City’s colors, every bed had the name of a child on it. It was truly an unforgettable moment for all when they learned the beds were getting delivered to their homes the next day.

We are beyond grateful to everyone involved in making this night so special, and we look forward to our next Delivering Hope event in the near future. A big thank you to Publix, Chick-fil-A, Moe’s, Papa Johns, and Dunkin’ Donuts for a delicious spread for dinner, as well as Kellogg’s and Frito Lay for the snacks.

We all helped in making the world a better place, one bed at a time!

About Delivering Hope

A good night’s sleep is everything for children. It promotes physical health, increased focus, and a better chance for success at school. Unfortunately, too many children don’t have a bed to call their own.

Delivering Hope is on a mission to change that. Through City’s 5% Giving Pledge, we’re helping children get the sleep they deserve, by donating beds to families in need. Our goal is to make home a place where children can grow, learn, play, and get a good night’s sleep.
