To say that Sergeant Nicolas Andrew Trapp comes from a military family is an understatement. His family has served in some aspect dating all the way back to the minutemen of the American Revolution. So for Trapp, joining the U.S Navy came naturally.
After overseas tours in Bahrain in 2017 and domestic duties in Georgia, Illinois, Texas, and Maryland, Trapp, who serves as a Military Police-Master of Arms, has certainly seen his share of accolades.
And on December 23, the Miami Dolphins added their own token of praise by honoring Trapp as their Everyday Hero. With their Everyday Hero program, the Dolphins have successfully created an initiative that celebrates military service members for their hard work and accomplishments.
As this week’s Everyday Hero, Trapp is being recognized and awarded by the team with a $1,000 City Furniture gift card as an expression of gratitude for his service in the military.
Currently stationed in Virginia, Trapp has previously received the Navy Achievement National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Expert Marksman Rifle, and the Pistol Award over the years.
With his latest recognition by the Dolphins, Trapp gets to share a moment with a team that he has loved for years. His family has been a fan since day one, and Trapp shares that he was “born” a Dolphins fan, even watching numerous games with his Dad via phone and text.
Thanks for being our Everyday Hero!
