The annual Broward Heart Walk is getting near, and once again, Team City Cares is in full force. Every year, we walk in memory of City Furniture’s founder Kevin Koenig, along with everyone who has been impacted by heart disease. And this year, we’re determined to raise the most funds yet—including a donation match up to $25,000.
All Hands on Deck
Starting in March, every department is working to raise funds with their own special campaign. Our human resources department is raffling off prime parking spots, our marketing team is raffling off furniture, and our operations team is working together too. We are so proud to say that 100% of our company, as well as Ashley HomeStore, is joining the cause.
We’re also showing our support! Our Sales Associates are wearing red wristbands with the American Heart Association logo all month. At our corporate office, we have a dedicated “Wear Red for Heart Health” day to raise even more awareness.
How You Can Help
We know our customers are passionate about heart health too, so we’re making it easier than ever to help. Customers can make a donation at the showroom during checkout or donate directly to the City Cares team page. Everyone is also invited to join us at the walk on March 15 at Nova Southeastern University.
Giving Back is Why
It’s all part of City’s 5% Giving Pledge. We owe a lot to our success, and a big part of that is the community that has allowed us to grow our business over the last 47 years. That’s why City Furniture is committed to giving back a minimum of 5% of annual profits, through the many charities we support.
