Here at CITY Furniture, our mission statement is to provide quality home furnishings, at excellent values, in an exciting and fun environment. This is important to us because we know how important home is, and how vital it is that everyone feels comfortable at home, regardless of their budget. Giving back is one of our seven CITY Furniture values, along with entrepreneurial spirit, family spirit, mutual trust and respect, teamwork, customer focus, and continuous improvement. We are thankful to our community for our success and we strive to support our local communities just like they show up for us. CITY’s 5% Giving Pledge is our corporate giving program, and we are delighted to be able to give back every year. We promise to give back at least five percent of our annual profits. If you make a purchase at CITY, you can feel confident that you are taking a step to support your local community too.
Habitat for Humanity is one of our largest partners. They are a non-profit organization that helps families build and improve the places they call home. They also believe that affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities. Every donation made to Habitat for Humanity helps a family build a safe and affordable home. Because we value home too, Habitat is a wonderful partner for us. Together, we can uplift our neighbors and friends within the South Florida and Orlando areas. One of the ways we work together is through our Earth Day Event, where we pick up and donate one article of furniture for every one furniture item purchased. All the furniture gets donated to their ReStore, so families can find more affordable items for their home. This helps to keep reusable household items and building materials from area landfills, which helps protect our habitat, the planet.
