CITY Furniture Earth Day Event Terms and Conditions 

 

  • These offers are subject to change, alteration, or termination by CITY Furniture at its sole discretion at any time. Offer valid 4/22/22-4/24/22. 
  • CITY Furniture will donate a total maximum of 960 pieces of customer-donated furniture to Habitat for Humanity for the valid offer period of 4/22/22 - 4/24/22. 
  • Customers are eligible to donate one piece of furniture per each piece purchased at CITY. 9 piece maximum donation per customer, while space lasts. 
  • CITY Furniture will pick-up your furniture donation for free.
  • Offer limited to Broward and Palm Beach counties. Customer donation pick-up must take place in the same county as the furniture purchase.
  • Furniture purchases must be made in-store and on in-stock items to qualify for offer. 
  • Furniture donations must be free of rips, pet hair, tears, and stains. 
  • CITY Furniture and Habitat for Humanity are unable to accept hospital beds, water beds, jacuzzi tubs, kitchenware, baby items (including, but not limited to car seats, cribs, strollers, etc.), dishwashers, ranges, stove tops, ovens (conventional, microwave or other), mattresses of any kind, arcade items, carpets/rugs, custom-built furniture, electronics of any kind, exercise or sports equipment, lighting fixtures or bulbs, china cabinets, appliances, commercial office furniture, technology of any kind, building materials of any kind, roofing materials of any kind, or any other non-furniture items, that may or may not be available for purchase at any CITY Furniture Showroom. 
  • Donations from Customers can only be made on a one-to-one basis, per piece of furniture.
  • Donation pick-up must be in the same County of purchase as the location of the CITY Furniture Showroom from which the furniture was purchased. Donation pick-up will occur separately from the Customer's order delivery date.
  • Once Customer donation has been picked up by CITY Furniture, it is unable to be returned.
  • Only the item(s) selected for donation upon purchase will be picked up, and no substitutions for items designated for donation will be allowed.
  • No additional items for donation can be designated at the time of pick-up or any time after transaction.
  • Only pre-determined items for donation will be picked up, and  will not include any additional items customer may deem appropriate for donation or disposal. 
  • CITY Furniture shall not be liable for any economic or monetary loss whatsoever associated with the selected furniture donation, any incidental or consequential costs, or for any expenses and damages to the donated furniture item.
  • Terms of Free Pickup Disclosure must be adhered to as detailed below, and furniture must be disassembled prior to pick-up.

 

FREE PICKUP DISCLOSURE

 

Condominium, Apartment, and Gated Community Restrictions:

Pickup time in accordance with the community’s delivery restrictions. Normal CITY Furniture timeframes do not apply.

 

Scheduling Your Pickup:

No schedule changes are permitted. To cancel your scheduled pickup, contact Customer Care at (954) 718-3350 between 8:00AM – 6:00PM. Any changes or cancellations must be made up to and including the day before the scheduled pickup date. Pickups will be considered canceled if someone is not present for pick-up. Your service technician is not allowed to pick up products without your signature at the time of pick up and a photo confirmation.

 

Pickup Appointment Confirmation:

We contact all customers by email, text, and phone to confirm their pickup date. We will contact you the evening before your scheduled date to provide an estimated 3-hour arrival window. Our service technicians will then contact you 15-30 minutes prior to arrival. Pick-up appointment time frames are provided for your convenience but cannot be guaranteed due to unforeseen circumstances that may occur on your day of scheduled pick-up, such as traffic and weather conditions.

 

First Floor Pickup:

Free pickup service means donation placement inside the immediate entry of your first-floor home or apartment. If you live above the first floor, you will need to place items at the base of the closest staircase, elevator, or loading dock.

 

Disassembly Required:

Please disassemble the product before pickup. All items from storage areas must be removed and be completely emptied from products.

 

Damages:

Furniture donations must be in usable condition. Items with stains, pet hair, rips or tears will not be accepted. CITY Furniture is not responsible for damages that occur as a result of the customer moving or disassembling products. [KB1] 

 

PICK-UP PREPARATION

 

Each customer is responsible to provide a clear path for pick-up, free of impediments. Stairways, elevators, and doorways must be large enough to allow safe handling of your furniture. Please secure your home for pick-up by covering exposed floors with protective material and removing furniture or objects that may obstruct the path or create difficulty with the pick-up. CITY Furniture is not responsible for damages that may result from a pick-up.

 

CITY Furniture does not make nor is it responsible for any warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties or merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. CITY Furniture shall not be liable for any economic or monetary loss whatsoever associated with the selected furniture, for any incidental or consequential costs, or for any expenses and damages incurred in connection with the donation pick-up.

 

NOTICE TO PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

 

If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation in order to participate in this pickup event, CITY Furniture will provide, at no cost to you, any assistance necessary to effectuate the pickup per the terms and conditions in this “Free Pickup Disclosure,” including but not limited to disassembling the product for pickup, removing from the a location other than the first floor but within the building itself, providing a clear path free of impediments, and covering exposed floors with protective material and removing furniture or objects that may obstruct the path. CITY Furniture is not responsible for damages that may result from a pick-up under this Notice.
